Trifecta Writing Challenge

This weekend’s challenge: Give us a 33-word example of personification. Wait. What? You forget what that is? It’s the practice of attaching human traits and characteristics with inanimate objects, phenomena and animals (http://literary-devices.com).

I call this: Emoting Gadget

Asshole! The phone shrieked in pain as I slammed it repeatedly on its face. The jammed buttons provoked my anger even more as they blinked incessantly. Shut up, I screamed back utterly frustrated.

I don’t wish to ever get on your bad side, that’s for sure. Good thing I am a gentleman and not prone to assholian behaviour. Thanks for a fun read, btw. 🙂

Poor phone-must have wondered what sin it must have committed to be treated so?But am sure it must have been glad that it was not a cell phone or it would have been flung away with such force as to break into bits;-)Enjoyed this one thoroughly-great job:-)

Ah, I miss the days of slamming a phone down. Now I pay so much for my stupid smartphone (oxymoron), that I’m scared to do any damage to it.

Cobbie said Assholian, too. I just thought I’d revisit that. 🙂

Thanks so much for linking up!

I wonder, are landlines now called ‘dumb’ phones? I digress. Thank you for your comment. I want to remind everyone that we still use landlines at work where slamming is mandatory.
