Oyster

Everest

Two things become clear upon reaching the top of a hill
1. You’ve known how to climb all along
2. Now, you can’t wait to scale a mountain

Two things startle you as you stand on the crest
1. You have accomplished your goal
2. But, you are standing on a mound, not even a hill

Two things scare you as you grapple with that reality
1. You worked really hard to get over this mound
2. Across the valley, you get a glimpse of life’s next peak

Two things take your breath away
1. The world is a much more intricate place than you ever imagined
2. You, even though a little spec, are still a part of its grand design

Two things overwhelm you as you surrender to the moment
1. This feeling begs to be shared with someone who matters
2. You are capable of doing extraordinary things in your life. Just look around you!

Suddenly, you remember the three things that matter the most…
1. What you do is not as important as how you do it
2. Where you end up is not as important as how you get there
3. What you’re worth is not as important as how worthy you are

I am remembered of this quote “Each and every master, regardless of the era or the place, heard the call and attained harmony with heaven and earth. There are many paths leading to the top of Mount Fuji, but there is only one summit – love”.
