You K(now)

zebra
You know I can’t save this gift for another day
This precious is wasted on thoughts of undoing
And unyielding to the mystery of the present
Life, why wait until tomorrow
When you can do something for me this hour?
Find me a remedy for this unending search
Open me wide to each of life’s question mark
And, prop me up straight like a palm tree
Against its curving facade
You can’t save this gift for another day
So, put an end to the dithering once and for all
Because you know this was always my destiny
You’ve intended it that way and I’ve taken your hand in mine
Uttering each sacred vow with such unflinching faith
In the presence of angels and mischievous sprites
And everything hot and holy
So now, don’t let me squander any of it away in haste
Let me keep moving, let me keep pushing towards
Everything that is unwavering within my soul
Because only you know…
I can’t save this gift for another day
